It seems that the trend of emo is not allowed in Russia. Law pertaining to it is formulated in Russia to regulate emo websites and ban emo style of dress in schools and government buildings.Personally, I don't think that the way you dress is going to do any harm but it seems that the dress code is not the problem. According to Wikipedia, "... fears of emo being a "dangerous teen trend" promoting anti-social behaviour, depression, social withdrawal and even suicide." So, the real problem is emo is associated with suicide
Another thing is the 'emo initiation ceremony' thing. Is it really true?It is said that you have to do self harming in order to initiate yourself. That is serious stuff man. I don't see why you have to hurt yourself for a meaningless reason. If all of that it is true, maybe their government is doing a right decision to ban it.
For emo fans in Russia, it's too bad for you. Maybe you could start up another trend. Fairy tale trend maybe? Okay, that is lame. Don't be sad about it. You can still listen its music. It's not like you are not going to listen to My Chemical Romance,or Paramore music after this.
